Returning to the Dominican Republic For A Family Adventure

Published on 16 January 2016 at 19:38

In May 2014, Mark and I celebrated our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, at the incredible Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda hotel in Punta Cana.  That trip was our first holiday as a couple, and it was a fantastic week spent enjoying the luxury resort, local area, and stunning beaches.  We loved the Dominican Republic so much that we've decided to return.

Planning the Perfect Family Holiday

Booking this family holiday has been a different kind of fun, compared to planning our honeymoon.  This time, our research is focused on things like kids' clubs, shallow pools, and the best family-friendly restaurants.  Having already been to the incredible Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda hotel in Punta Cana, we know that it meets everything that were looking for and booking through Tui comes in right on budget at just under £3,000 for a 2 week holiday for the 3 of us.

The beautiful beachfront locations, the warm Caribbean sun, and the vibrant culture all make the Dominican Republic an ideal choice for a family holiday.  We're counting down the days until we can return to this incredible country and show our little boy the paradise we fell in love with.

A Dominican Republic Family Holiday: A New Kind of Paradise

This next trip is all about making new memories with our 5 year old Charlie and we're excited to see the Dominican Republic through his eyes.  While our last trip was filled with romantic à la carte dinners and lazy afternoons by the swim-up bar, we're now looking forward to a different kind of paradise.

We can't wait to build sandcastles on the soft, white sand beaches, watch him splash around in the crystal-clear water, and see his face light up during the kid-friendly evening shows.  The all-inclusive nature of the resorts here is a huge bonus when traveling with children.  The convenience of having everything on-site, from a variety of lunch options to unlimited drinks and snacks, means less stress and more fun for the whole family.

Check back as we share our journey and experiences with you all.
